#AM2144: $475 SOLDĪncient Viking, 10th century AD. A perfect miniature of the dreaded weapon used by the feared Viking raiders! Would look amazing in one of my 2-sided frames. Repaired from 2 pieces where the blade meets neck, likely ritually broken in antiquity. The blade decorated on both sides with engraved linear designs, one hole going straight through. A very nice and quite large bronze amulet in the form of a Viking battle axe! With wide, sharp blade and tapered neck and large, round mounting/ suspension loop. The metal has a lovely olive-green patina and much of the original inlays remain! 39x32 mm (1 1/4" x 1 9/16"), suspension loop intact.
